Work Experience
Tony Chan is a registered physiotherapist graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a first class honours in Bachelor’s degree of physiotherapy and a distinction in Master’s degree of manipulative physiotherapy. After graduation, Tony had served in public hospitals under various specialties, including sports, neurology, cardiopulmonary, orthopedics and pediatrics. Later, Tony switched to work in a private clinic focusing more on treating acute and chronic pain, as well as rehabilitation in sports, trauma and post-operative management.
Tony had been to different countries for clinical practice including National University Hospital of Singapore, Guangzhou Sport Hospital and National Taiwan University Hospital.
More than work
Tony is interested in various sports such as kayaking, cycling round the island, orientering, etc, and he has been providing on-field physiotherapy in different sports events like Standard Chartered Marathon and Oxfam Trailwalker.
In addition, Tony Chan is enthusiastic about contributing to the community during his spare time. Since 2018, Tony has formed a healthcare volunteer taskforce to organize elderly home visits and health-related seminars regularly. Tony is also one of the medical professionals in The Elderly Foundation to provide physiotherapy services for the needy in a mobile multi-disciplinary clinic.
To help his patient understand more health information, Tony shares his knowledge and home exercise videos on his Youtube channel, Monkey Tong Therapist.
